Forensic Science Technician
Many people who enjoying reading detective stories or watching crime investigation television shows would be happy to know that a two-year certificate program or Associate’s Degree can pave the way toward a career in forensics. Science courses, as well as those in science-related technology, is highly preferred.

Forensic science course
The training and education that one receives in such two-year studies must prepare him or her for examining, testing and analysing crime scene evidence, such as tissue samples and fingerprints. He will also deal with ballistic evidence and chemical substances, as well as confer with medical and metallurgic experts, to name a few. He will prepare investigative reports and even be called to the witness stand in court in order to testify on the interpretation of laboratory evidence. A rate of nearly $30 an hour is the normal wage for forensic technicians.
